Getting There
If at all possible, we would suggest you take a taxi from either the train or coach station, especially if you have heavy bags or are arriving late at night when navigating with a map isn't an easy proposition.

If you wish to take a city bus, exit the train, walk to your left to the opposite side of the station and exit from there. A couple of steps and a look to your right, and you will be at a traffic junction. Walk across Renshaw Street and you will see the bus stands. A tourist information office is situated there, as well. The Number 86 Garston bus can take you very near to the Embassie. Ask the driver to drop you off at the corner of Upper Parliament and Sandon Street. From the bus stop, walk straight down Sandon Street to the Embassie, which is located on the other side of the park. On most city bus routes the student discount fare is 60 pence. The regular fare is still under 80 pence from that location. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from Lime Street Station to the Embassie. When you come out of the station, turn to your left and walk down Lime Street and Renshaw Street. When you reach the top of Renshaw Street, you will notice St.Lukes' Church which was bombed during the war. Turn left at that junction and you will be on Leece Street. Walk up the hill to the second set of traffic lights, which is Hope Street. Turn right on Hope Street and walk toward the beautiful Anglican Cathedral which is at the corner of hope and Canning Street. Turn left on Canning Street and continue for 3 blocks . You will have reached Falkner Square. The Embassie is located near the phone box. Look for the bright red door. |

From Liverpool airport, take the number 80 bus and get off at the corner of Catharine and Canning Street. Turn left on Canning Street - the Embassie is just two blocks down from the bus stop. |

This is about a 25-30 minute walk to the Embassie. Ask at the desk for one of our flyers, which has a very helpful detailed map on the back. Walk down Norton Street and cross London Road. The road you are on at that time will change names a couple of times (from Norton Street it becomes Seymour Street, then Russell Street, then Rodney Street). Keep walking on that street until you get to Rodney Street. Continue walking on Rodney to Upper Duke Street where you will see The Anglican Cathedral. Turn to your left and continue walking up Upper Duke Street which will become Canning Street. Continue walking on Canning Street until you reach Falkner Square. Notice the phone box at the corner and behind it you will see the bright red door of the Embassie. |
